The key hypothesis underlying this research project is:
- The role of CIOs is changing in as much as they are increasingly expected to actively contribute to the innovation performance of their organisations. Questions to be addressed include,
- How are demands on CIOs changing with regard to their role in corporate innovation?
- Are CIOs satisfied with the contribution they currently make to the innovation process within their organisations?
- Do CIOs have the appropriate skills to contribute to the innovation process in the way that they are increasingly expected to do?
