This research is designed to capture the wisdom, insight and experience of CIOs who are publicly recognized as having made it to the summit in the UK’s most prestigious organizations. Even the biggest and best didn’t start out that way. Something happened to give them the breakthrough. At the heart of our enquiry, we’ll be searching for the difference that made the difference.

The analysis will build on the previously developed CIO Role Type model, to determine if there are indicators of predisposition to success. It will highlight critical qualities, capabilities and outlook needed to be a successful CIO. It will provide a pathway for aspiring CIOs asking the question “I feel I can contribute more to this business: what do I have to do to convince my colleagues of this?”
