Gordon is an independent consultant/coach who helps CIOs to raise the value of IT in business.
Before branching out on his own, Gordon had over 30 years’ experience as an IT professional in international blue chip companies, the last 11 as an executive. In this capacity, Gordon was recognized for his success in transforming IT organizations.
Gordon’s most recent appointment was as Executive Vice President of International CRM Systems at T-Mobile, where he consolidated five previously autonomous national organizations into an international Centre of Excellence. Prior to that, he was Director of Service Development at One2One, engaged to refocus and revitalize the Systems Development Department to support the business need for greater market agility. Gordon was Interim Director of Applications Development at CGU, during the merger with Norwich Union, responsible for the transfer of responsibilities and closure of redundant IT capacity. Gordon masterminded the consolidation of US and UK IT departments at Galileo, following the merger of US and UK general distribution systems, where he was appointed Vice President of Systems Development. He subsequently oversaw the safe and secure closure of Galileo UK Systems Development Division.
Gordon has a BSc in Civil Engineering from King’s College (London), an MSc in Mathematical Economics from Southampton University, and an MSc in Statistics from Birkbeck College (London). He is a Chartered Engineer, an accredited Myers Briggs Type Indicator Assessor and an NLP Business Practitioner.
