Dr Richard Sykes is a Research Associate - Executive Programme for the Leading Edge Forum. He has his own practice as a board-level counsellor, trusted advisor, strategic coach and facilitator in information and communications technology (ICT) strategies and their implementation, sourcing and governance.

Richard has a particular focus on the workings of the ICT services and Business Process sourcing and outsourcing marketplaces. His new book, Global Services – Towards a Level Playing Field (jointly authored with Mark Kobayashi-Hilary), was published in April 2007.

Richard has held senior executive roles in a major global multinational, and non-executive chairmanships in three smaller ventures – and has lived and operated internationally. He is now non-executive chairman/director of several young ventures in both the IT industry and in the arts world. He also chairs the Outsourcing & Offshore Group at Intellect, the UK trade association for the Hi-Tech industries.
