    Research Associate - Executive Programme
    Leading Edge Forum

    David McKean is a Research Associate – Executive Programme for the Leading Edge Forum.  David is a member of our Business Relationship Management practice and works with clients to use recent research in resolving their most pressing business issues.

    In 2004, David set up IT Leaders Ltd, a leading provider of leadership development for IT organizations, most notably the flagship IT Leadership programme run at Henley Business School in the UK.  He presents at conferences worldwide as an authority on technology leadership.  He was one of the architects of the FastTrack business series.  His book, FastTrack Strategy, reached the top 10 of business strategy books.  It has been translated into several languages and is published in Europe, Asia and North America.

    David is formerly Head of IT for Cable & Wireless where he was appointed to bring the IBM outsource contract back in-house in 2003, the largest in-source project in the UK at the time.  David was a key sponsor of the C&W ‘Roadmap strategy’ for UK IT to transform the major business processes.

    David has spent many years working in various IT leadership positions in the Utilities sector.  He speaks French, German, Spanish, Indonesian and Russian and holds an MA in Engineering Science from Cambridge University and an MSc in High Frequency Electronics from University College, London.  He is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers.
