    Research Associate - Executive Programme
    Leading Edge Forum

As head of the Advisory Services unit of the Leading Edge Forum, Tudor Rees works with clients to use recent research in resolving their most pressing business issues, thus delivering additional value from our network of practitioners and published materials.

Tudor has spent 25 years in the IT industry. During his career, he has undertaken a variety of executive roles as Management Consultant with PwC and James Martin, and CIO with multinationals such as Samsung Electronics and BT Group.

At BT, a $24bn turnover company, initially as Head of Group IS Strategy, Tudor was promoted to CIO for BT Group's Shared Service business. This $3bn business unit provided finance, HR, property, IS, procurement and fleet services to internal customers across the Group. As a Board member, Tudor was responsible for all aspects of IS strategy, information management, business intelligence and e-enablement of all internal B2E processes, driving costs down dramatically during his two year tenure.

Prior to BT, Tudor joined James Martin as Head of the European Supply Chain practice and worked for blue chip clients in Retail and Automotive in areas such as IS functional development, CRM and Shared Services.

At Samsung, a $16bn turnover company, Tudor was European IS and Process Innovation Director implementing SAP across manufacturing, sales and distribution units in the UK, France, Germany, Holland, Hungary and Spain. The successful implementation hit all of the targets set for its business case and returned a payback in under two years.

Possessing both business and IT skills, Tudor began his career in ICI in Sales, Procurement, Logistics and Marketing before moving into pan-European Systems Development. Later, joining PwC's Retail/FMCG team, Tudor led and delivered assignments for Woolworth, Asda, Carlsberg, Nestle and Unilever in areas such as IS Strategy, IS Value for money, Reengineering the IS function and ERP implementations.
