Doug Neal, Donal O’Shea and Adrian Seccombe will report on our recent Study Tour to San Francisco and Silicon Valley, United States.  This year’s tour investigated the theme of Consumerization, Mobility and the Cloud visiting 15 companies including Amazon, Jive, Google, Cloudera, VeriSign, Facebook and PayPal.

As well as showing clear signs of the continued impact of consumerization, this year’s tour had five interesting features in comparison to previous years:

  1. The increase in, and lower cost of, the agility of computing, both massive and virtual, brought about by cloud computing and virtualization.
  2. The development of orchestration tools and services which make cloud computing feasible for everyday use.
  3. The rise of social business tools that allow collaboration in the enterprise space.
  4. The slow, but inevitable, emergence of ‘Identity’ as an enabling force to improve customer trust in all areas of business interaction; notably in both collaboration and cloud computing activities.
  5. Last, but not least, a startling focus on mobility.

In this web conference, we will report on what we heard, on the discussions we had, as well as outlining the six key action imperatives we took away from the tour.

Who should attend?

This web conference will appeal to CIOs and other business/IT leaders.
